Volunteers are the heart of any event and puts you right into the action!

As a volunteer at GhMX you will be the face of the brand.  Rosters are managed on alternating shifts, so you have plenty of time to experience the show and enjoy everything on offer.

 

The GhMX  Scale Model Build Competition even has an award judged and selected by our volunteers only, the GhMX Connect Award!

 

Being a volunteer means you will be on-site during some key times that include

• Bump-in - this is when we setup the show on Friday afternoon through to roughly 9pm

• Saturday from 7am

• Sunday from 8.30am

• Bump-out – Sunday evening from 5pm

 

Volunteers will be assigned to different teams that are determined via the online registration process. Our teams are as follows:

AV & Stage
Assist with the operation of the AV system & coordination of guest panels. This also includes setup & pack down of requirements on-stage between panels.

Interactive Areas

Assist in supervising and running specific interactive zones where required. These can include but not limited to Board Game Area, RC Race Track, Free-play Gaming, Dungeons & Dragons demonstrations and tutorial zones.

Expo Floor
The general expo floor includes our exhibitors and the workshop area. You will mainly assist in setup of event assets such as signage, furniture & crowd management equipment. The workshop area will require monitoring as well over the weekend & assistance if required.

Gaming Tournaments
This area requires volunteers to assist in the general setup of furniture for all the gaming tournaments. You will also be called upon to help with time keeping and general monitoring of players during the tournament. Let us know if you have experience in any of the games being played.

Scale Model Competition
For those with steady hands only! Just kidding, this area will require you to assist with placement of entries, entry cards and general management of competitor assets during registration under the supervision of the Competition Chief. You will also be required to assist in the award presentations & pack up on Sunday afternoon.

Tickets & Entry
Positioned primarily at the entrance of the venue, you will oversee monitoring people entering and exiting, checking tickets, issuing wristbands and managing the outside queue. You are the first impression for the attendees of GhMX! You will also be responsible for monitoring lines at the outdoor Gel Blaster Range!
